Our Story
Circula began as a pitch for a University of Melbourne student competition. As we refined the idea, we realised just how many students and staff shared the same frustrations about the university experience. We never made it past the first round of any competitions, but that early feedback was all the validation we needed to know the problem was real.
How We Started
Assembling the Dream Team
To turn Circula into something more than just an idea, we knew we'd need help. So, we went out and found a team of students with skills across both marketing and product development who were just as passionate about solving this issue as we were! Together, we built the foundations for a product and brand that we could be proud of.
One thing lead to another and all of a sudden we found our work getting recognised by various stakeholders. After accepting a place in UniMelb's InnovatEd Incubator program, Blackbird Giants, and StartMate's Pre-Accelerator, we had all the tools we needed to start looking towards real world applications of what we'd built.
